  I have been a patient of Hillcrest surgery for 15 years.I've been seen by all of the GP's and locums that had worked there,Doctors come and go and it is inevitable that empathy plays a very important role in defining the connection GP-Patient. Dr Cumspty has been a constant figure at Hill Crest all these years not only because she is a well recognized ,well settled, dedicated and brilliant professional at the surgery but most important because as a person she displays this special sweet rapport with patients that makes you feel embraced when you most needed it Her connection towards her patients is effective because it is her authentic caring touch and honest attitude as a listener (mixed with a pinch of sense of humour an open mind and flexibility) that makes the magic happen!. It's in her nature as she hasn't changed this very important skill in all these years, As I say - I've seen many GPs, I've, been treated by many but very few- I'm afraid -have that capability of making you feel you are a "person" rather than a "patient" Seeing Dr Cumspty feels like visiting Claire -the friend- who greets you always with a smile and who you completely TRUST and completely confide -your life- in her hands..
